What it’s about:
Rhineland-Palatinate, early 1950s: There’s a fresh wind from the west blowing through the small town of Kaltenstein.
The presence of the Americans turns the lives of two friends upside down and paves the way for individual freedom, the permissive society and rampant capitalism. In this new world, the two young women strive to create lives for themselves, repeatedly coming into conflict with the old order of conservative forces of politics, the Church and society – and finally finding new allies…
