Rosamunde Pilcher: Objection For Love

The ambitious lawyer Bill Reynolds puts his career and success above everything else. After a surprising defeat in a neighbourhood dispute against the young lawyer Joanna Rashford, he is so impressed that he spontaneously offers her a job at his law firm. Joanna, who had already clashed with Bill before the trial, considers him an arrogant show-off and initially refuses. But Bill is not discouraged and makes her an offer she cannot refuse, as it would mean she would be debt-free in a year. At the same time, Bill’s younger and chaotic brother Daniel shows up and moves in with him after being dumped by his girlfriend on a sailing trip. Living together quickly becomes too much for Bill, as the two brothers are very different. Hoping to distract his brother from his heartbreak, he introduces him to Joanna. The plan seems to work, but when something actually seems to start to develop between Daniel and Joanna, Bill finds himself in emotional turmoil…
