Billy Kuckuck: Aber bitte mit Sahne
What looks like routine for Billy Kuckuck ends dramatically for her hot-tempered client Karl Löwe: he ends up in hospital with a heart attack. The owner of a traditional confectionery is alleged to have bought an e-scooter on the Internet and not paid for it. He stubbornly maintains that he neither ordered nor received the scooter. Billy sees things differently, and this time she wants to go by the book.
Strangely enough, her mother becomes very involved with the man until Billy finds out the secret: Karl was her childhood sweetheart. When more enforcement notices arrive for him, Billy’s suspicions are also aroused. Could it really be a case of a bad mix-up? Even though bailiffs are forbidden to conduct their own investigations, Billy can’t help herself: she feels sorry for the baker, whose business has been going badly for some time, and she wants to get to the bottom of the mysterious online orders.
She also takes the opportunity to help Annika, a single parent who runs a kiosk with a rather chaotic package store. Her divorced husband not only leaves her hanging financially, but also wants sole custody of their son Tom.
Meanwhile, the situation for Karl Löwe comes to a head: a necessary loan is refused to him because of his now poor credit rating. Not least thanks to the help of her ex-husband Gunnar, Billy gradually suspects how the identity theft came about. The fact that Gunnar just needs a little time off from his new girlfriend and is staying with her for a few days unexpectedly throws Billy into emotional chaos – especially since she has seriously fallen in love with the paramedic Lukas.
