Beate Balser studied Sociology at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. After graduating she spent a year and a half abroad performing research work. In 1988 she was hired by Odeon Film Wiesbaden as Production Assistant. Beate Balser has been working for FFP New Media since 1989, initially on a free-lance basis and since 1991 as Supervising Producer. In this capacity she has been responsible for series (including "Captain Bluebeard" , "The Millionaire", "Singles" and "Jets"), all FFP TV movies (including "To Be Twenty Again", "Whoever Promises Love",  "Love Without Trimmings", "Tulips in Amsterdam", "My Heart in Malaysia") as well as the Pilcher Collection (77 Pilcher films) and the Barbara Wood Collection (including "House of Harmony" and "Domina"). Today Beate Balser is responsible for the creation of all FFP productions; in close collaboration with the senior management she works on the funding and supervision of the projects.
