The historical series tells a story of emancipation in the time of great upheaval.
Kaltenstein 1951 – several thousand GIs of the US Army are stationed in the small town of “Kaltenstein” – a “little America” is created in the Palatinate. This new world paves the way for individual freedom, the permissive society and rampant capitalism in Germany. Two young women have to find their place in society in these difficult times and cope with the temptations of the new world.
Can their friendship withstand this hard test?
